Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Harvests Fall 2017

This fall, we harvested our Sauvignon Blanc in August and our Cabernet Sauvignon in October. Both were successful harvests, but our Cabernet harvest was more harrowing than the Sauvignon Blanc harvest due to the fires that occurred in Napa this October. During both of the harvests, we were able to capture some imagery on our estate, Estate8.

In August, our Sauvignon Blanc grapes were ripe and plump and so good we could almost eat them all! Our Sauvignon blanc harvest was perfect in every way leading to exotic and tropical flavors that are unique to our Estate Vineyard. Thank you to all our workers who helped make this harvest go so smoothly.

In October, we were extremely lucky to get our Cabernet grapes off the vine before the smoke thickened in Rutherford. Because of this, our grapes showed no indication of smoke taint and we’re looking forward to another delicious vintage that gives back to our community here in Napa. So far, our Cabernet is tasting delicious with lots of dark black cherry characteristic of Rutherford. It’s looking like a great vintage!

Our hearts go out to everyone who suffered losses during the fires in Napa, Sonoma, and the surrounding areas. We’re committed to doing everything to help our community rebuild. Our partnership with Olé Health is rooted in the need and responsibility of taking care of the farmers and agricultural workers that take care of our vineyards. Our Sauvignon Blanc, Fumé Blanc, and estate Cabernets produced from our vineyard provide on-site medical care and health education through Olé Health. You can learn more about them here.

With love,
The ONEHOPE Team
