Wine + Takeout Pairings

We understand that your schedule can be crazy hectic, and not everyone has time to make a full meal for the family 7 days a week. If you don’t have a spare minute to make it to the grocery store, consider take-out! It’s a great option for those busy weeknights, and can feel both fun and indulgent when paired with wine! Try these delicious take-out wine pairings for your next dinner and let us know what you think!

Italian Food // California Pizza Kitchen

Hawaiian Pizza with Sparkling Brut: the sweet notes of our Sparkling Brut pair nicely with the pineapple in this pizza. The tasting notes of fresh green apple and nectarine with a hint of fresh baked bread go hand in hand with this pizza.

Margherita Pizza with Italian Prosecco: This margherita pizza is a bit sweeter, so paired with our smooth Prosecco, which is also Italian, it is a match made in heaven. Fresh pear and hints of green apple create pleasing aromas that persist into the finish.

Roasted Garlic Chicken and Seasonal Vegetables + Chardonnay: These are two of our favorite combinations- garlic and Chardonnay! Warm butterscotch, vanilla and toffee flavors add volume and length to the mid palate of our Chardonnay. The garlic chicken adds a savory aspect to the dish!

Mexican Food // Amigo’s Restaurant

Shredded Chicken Burrito with Merlot: Try all Mexican food with one of our red wines! This particular takeout pairs well with Merlot, which transcends to a succulent finish trailing with vanilla spice. The spices balance each other out nicely!

Carnitas Taco & Red Blend: /our CA Red Blend has tasting notes of orange zest, clove, all spice, bittersweet chocolate and ripe blackberry compote. These spicer flavors add to the zest of the carnitas! Yum!

Chinese Food // Go China

Orange Chicken with Pinot Grigio: You might think that our Italian Pinot Grigio should be paired just with our Italian takeout foods, but think again! With notes of fresh flowers and hints of lemon and lime, this Pinot Grigio, hailing from the cool climate of Northern Italy, has crisp acidity that quenches through the finish. The crunchiness of the chicken with the sweetness of the wine = heaven.

Vegetable Lo Mein with Sauvignon Blanc: One last show-stopping dish! This decadent lo mein dish pairs fantastic with something a little lighter, which is our fruity yet clean Sauvignon Blanc. It’s so easy to drink you’ll be asking for seconds!

We hope you enjoy these suggestions!

Cheers!
