ONEHOPE Wine announced today their collaboration with Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion® Cuisine to support the Lupus Foundation of America, the largest national nonprofit voluntary health organization focused on improving the quality of life for people with lupus. Roy’s will donate half of the profits from ONEHOPE’s Chardonnay to the Lupus Foundation of America’s Gina M. Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowship Program. Starting this week diners can visit participating Roy’s locations to enjoy ONEHOPE Wine by the glass to support the Lupus Foundation of America.
“The 2012/2013 collaboration between ONEHOPE Wine and Roy’s to support the Lupus Foundation of America will provide up to a dozen grants to young investigators that encourage and support their work to advance lupus research,” stated Melissa Levick, Executive Director of the ONEHOPE Foundation.
“The Finzi program has not only motivated budding scientists to pursue a largely unexplored disease, but over the years it has produced a significant body of research on lupus,” said Sandra C. Raymond, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Lupus Foundation of America. “We are grateful for the support from ONEHOPE Wine and Roy’s – the money raised through this partnership will help us in our ongoing battle against this devastating disease that affects an estimated 1.5 million Americans.”
ONEHOPE’s 2011 California Chardonnay is hand-crafted by winemaker, Rob Mondavi Jr, by blending grapes from select and prestigious vineyards throughout Napa, Sonoma and the Central Coast. Our Chardonnay incorporates Chenin Blanc and Muscat in order to showcase an elegant flavor and refined finish. There are aromas of sweet honeysuckle and apple blossom with an undertone of butterscotch that is partnered with flavors of crisp apple and pear, a hint of oak and a sweet vibrant acidity on the finish. This wine a great match with broiled or grilled seafood, poultry dishes and a wide assortment of cheeses or appetizers.
This ONEHOPE 2011 California Chardonnay will only be available at participating Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion® Cuisine restaurants throughout the United States (Hawaii not included).

In Hawaii, there are two things of equal importance—food and the “aloha” spirit. The blending of these two dynamic principles is how Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion® Cuisine was born. European techniques and Asian cuisine meet Hawaiian hospitality to create a fine dining experience. In 1988, James Beard Award-winner Roy Yamaguchi opened the first Roy’s in Honolulu, Hawaii. Today there are more than 33 Roy’s locations around the world—25 in the continental U.S., six in Hawaii, one in Japan and one in Guam. The restaurant was designed around a unique experience through spacious dining rooms, an expansive lounge and Roy’s signature exhibition kitchen in full view.
