Here at ONEHOPE, we constantly strive to find new and inspiring nonprofit partners to highlight each Charity Tuesday. Today we bring you Together We Rise, which was founded to fill a void found between other established charities across the country.

Founder Danny Mendoza was inspired to create TWR after his young cousin was found living in a car and put into foster care in 2008. Danny quickly recognized that although he had the passion and drive to help children like his cousin, foster care organizations had no avenue for young people like himself to make a substantial difference.

So with the support of friends and colleagues, Danny established TWR, which has since become a true innovator among foster care charities. With the help of over 100 interns across the country, all under the age of 25, they are able to fundraise and advocate to bring a sense of normalcy to the turbulent world of foster care.

Together We Rise has impacted the lives of thousands of foster kids through its programs that build bikes for foster youth, run free sports camps, assemble suitcases filled with necessities like dental hygiene kits, and support teens aging out of the system.
