Bison Nachos Recipe + Zinfandel



One of our all time favorite game day snacks are nachos! The cheesier the better! We gave ours a little twist with bison instead of traditional beef or chicken and the final product was savory with just the right amount of spice - the perfect combination for our Zinfandel. Get the recipe below:

Bison Nachos + Zinfandel


1/2 pound ground bison or beef
1 bag tortilla chips
1 jar nacho cheese or queso dip
1 bag of shredded cheese
1 small can black olives
1 jar tamed jalapeños
1 jar pico de gallo (or diced tomato)
  1. Brown the meat and drain. Put back in the pan on low heat and add Worcestershire, salt, pepper and your favorite hot sauce to taste.
  2. Pre-heat the oven to 350. Spread the chips out evenly on a baking pan. Put all above ingredients on top, start with the ground meat, then the nacho cheese, then the shredded cheese. Put the remaining ingredients evenly on top. Finally, top off with a bit more sprinkle cheese.
  3. Bake for 5-10 minutes or until gooey golden bliss is achieved. Serve with a side of sour cream. Touchdown!
